"I was a fashion model, not a nude model - or so I thought." In addition, Anna-Marie was named Playmate of the Year in the Dutch edition, earning her fame in her home country. "Adjusting to America was really easy," she says, and perhaps Anna-Marie's European roots set her apart - in front of the camera, she's smooth, sensual and totally uninhibited, which is refreshing this side of the Atlantic Ocean. "Europeans are more open," she agrees. "Even in conservative Friesland, people don't worry about nudity." Anna-Marie misses her homeland - especially, she says, "tiny villages without McDonalds" - but with a husband and son in America, our Miss February 1994 is here to stay. "My most romantic moment was running away to get married in Las Vegas," she says happily. "Life couldn't be better at this point - I'm very content!"
